William is a person I only met briefly at race meetings. I actually felt uncomfortable speaking to him because he was such a quiet, humble man, it seemed that I was intruding. He never failed to smile and respond politely though. A lovely man. I spend my time at road races taking photographs of the riders in action. Of the many hundreds of pictures I have, none can compare to the beautiful style of William. I will treasure the memories I have of William. A lovely human being and the most stylish racer of his generation. My thoughts are with the generations of the Dunlop family, so hearbreakingly struck by his passing. May you rest in peace William
